The Carbon fibre floor tool can be used with the ultra-compact DC26. It has both carbon fibre filaments and nylon bristles. The brush bars of most vacuum cleaners only have nylon bristles to clean the surface. These are not as effective on hard floors, where fine dust can be left behind. The Dyson Carbon fibre floor tool has both nylon bristles and carbon fibre filaments. The anti-static carbon fibre filaments remove fine dust from hard floors, and the stiff nylon bristles remove ground-in dirt from carpets. The Carbon fibre floor tool is powered by an efficient clean-air turbine system. Air drawn in from the side of the tool passes through a fine mesh and drives a turbine connected to the brush bar. The brush bar can be turned on and off at the side of the tool. Flicker strips behind the brush bar maximise airflow through the front of the tool. A velour bumper protects walls and furniture. It has a low profile for cleaning under furniture and articulates through 180° for improved steering and to reach awkward places.
